About QRonimo

QRonimo is a free, privacy-focused QR code generator that runs entirely in your browser. No account. No server. No tracking of what you encode.

How it works

When you type a URL or any text into the QRonimo generator and click Generate, your browser runs a JavaScript library (QRCode.js) that computes the QR code locally and renders it directly to an HTML canvas element. The result is displayed instantly and can be downloaded as PNG or SVG.

Your data never leaves your device. The text you enter, any logo you upload, and the generated QR code itself are processed entirely in your browser. There is no server-side component to the QR generation process — the Go backend that serves this website only delivers the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. It does not receive or log QR content.

What we collect

The web server logs standard HTTP access data: IP address, timestamp, the page URL requested, HTTP method, response code, and referrer. This is standard web server behavior and is used solely for debugging and uptime monitoring. These logs do not contain any QR code content.

We do not use analytics scripts. We do not set cookies of our own. We do not track which QR codes are generated or what content is encoded.

Google AdSense

QRonimo displays Google AdSense advertisements to fund the service. AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve personalized ads. This operates independently of the QR generator and is the only third-party code with access to information about your visit. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with all consent signals set to "denied" by default — AdSense will serve non-personalized ads unless you explicitly consent via any future consent mechanism we add.

If this is a concern, a browser extension that blocks AdSense (such as uBlock Origin) will prevent all AdSense code from running without affecting QR generation.
